Services
The Hillsborough Recovery Coalition (HRC) supports people in long-term recovery, their families, friends and allies, including recovery-focused addiction and recovery professionals, which also includes organizations whose members reflect religious, spiritual and secular pathways of recovery. The services delivered by HRC are intended to support the mission of HRC as well as mobilize resources within and outside of the recovery community to increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery from alcohol and substance use.
Public education, policy advocacy and peer-based recovery support services are the strategies through which this mission is achieved.
Outreach
Narcan Distribution- We help to distribute this life-saving medication to the community where it can be utilized.
Recovery Events- HRC coordinates and participates in community outreach events, and hosts recreational recovery events.
Resource Connection- Helping recoverees to enhance their recovery capital through connection with community partners and recovery services.
Community Education- Working with the community to provide a better understanding of substance use disorders and recovery. Coordinating peer support certifcation and development trainings.
Support Groups- Recoverees engaging with recovery concepts as a collective. Building and enhancing recovery as peers.
Direct Services- 1-on-1 support utilizing lived experience, wellness recovery action planning, and recovery capital assessments to work towards whole person recovery.
Recovery Coaching- Building on a strengths-based model to encourage and promote healthy living and wellness.
Family Support Services- Providing resources and education to strengthen support, reduce stigma, and foster the healing of relationships.
Bridge Services- Helping recoverees navigate through a Recovery Oriented System of Care, connecting them with resources and providing support along the entire journey.
Advocacy Activities
Working to fight stigma and expand recovery services on the local, county, state, and national levels.
HRC Monthly Round Table
Hillsborough Recovery Coalition hosts a monthly round table discussion. The round table is a gathering of community organizations and stake holders with a passion for recovery. The discussion centers on aspects of recovery, and provides a space for community partners to connect, collaborate, and foster relationships to better serve our community.
